Capezio Tights
Salvadore Capezio came to New York with his family as a child and had an obvious entrepreneurial side as he opened a cobbler shop in 1887 at the tender age of 17. He found the challenge of making dance shoes was something he enjoyed and having a shop opposite the Metropolitan Opera House meant a constant source of work and soon his shop was the place to meet and greet for the dancers of the time.
Salvatore and his descendants have gone from success to success branching into all forms of dancewear including an enormous range of tights, one of Capezio’s most popular ranges.

These tights are suitable for entry level to professional dancers. These value-priced Studio Basics tights offer superb comfort and fit in a matte semi opaque yarn.
83% nylon and 17% spandex. Studio Basics feature a soft knit plush waistband and dyed to match gusset. There is a fishnet version of the Studio Basic, which comes with no back seam, offering value pricing for a classic jazz dance look. Perfect for team dance and costuming.
The Studio Basic style does not have a solid foot pad. Also available in child sizes. Hand wash cold, hang dry.
